What is Ministry?

The word for "minister" means "servant".  Jesus poured water into a basin, wrapped himself with a towel and washed his disciples' feet. The LOWEST servant in a house was tasked with washing feet, and Jesus took that position.

Whatever has accumalated on someone's "feet" as they live in this world, God calls us to take the lowest position, serve them and help them to wash it off.

Ministry is also serving with the natural and spiritual gifts that God gives. We have several ministries functioning in the church,  and a few ministries outside the church that we support. 

Ministries in the Church

Intercession - Come early and pray before meetings. Meet together, in peron or via Zoom, to pray. Receive pray direct from the leadership.

Worship Team - Be part of a team of musician/worshippers who lead in worship to God on Sunday mornings and at special meetings.

Children and Youth- Help and lead in ministering to children, teens, and at times, toddlers  in the nursery.

Men's Meetings - Meet with men for honest relationships and accountability,  character and leadership development.

Every Man A Warrior - Learn to be a man of God in every area of your life.

Prayer Walking and Evangelism - Be trained to effectively prayer walk and be involved in evangelism outreaches.

Healing, Inner Healing and Deliverance - Receive training and mentorship to minister in teams, in meetings, and on outreaches.

Tech Support - Help with the PA system, computers, printers, etc. Help with Live-streaming and mixing levels at the sound booth.

Home Cell Groups - Open your home for a small group meeting, or for friendship evangelism.

Alpha Course - Conduct an Alpha Course in your house or at the church building.

Helps -Use your skills for building maintenance, repairs, landscaping, and cleaning.

Church Planting - Work with church leadership to plant regional, multiplying house churches.

Ministries We Support Outside the Church

We support the following ministries through finances and intercession:

Freedom House - We support this faith-based, in-residence recovery/discipleship house for female addicts and trafficed women released from incarceration. Jane Thomas is the administrator and leader.

Every Man A Warrior - The Assistant Pastor is the Pennsylvania director for establishing and training workers for small, multiplying discipleship groups in Pennsylvania prisons. We support his ministry.

Gideon's Cry Ministry International - We support missionary Christopher Bowser. He primarily works in Central American, helping local believers to plant and build up churches.

Jody and Rhema Atchison - Jody and Rhema serve with Freedom Ministries in Mexico as church planters and overseers. They wok in the mountains, planting churches among the poorest of the poor.

Milissa Sylvis Ministries - Milissa is a missionary, teacher and worship leader. She is a friend of Jubilee Christian Center, and we support her ministry.

D.R.E.A.M. Ministries - Don Robertson is a prophetic apostle who ministered to and consistently supported the leadership of the church, and the whole church body, for over twenty over years.
